[Buddha-l] Query--forest tradition monks in Japan today?

I almost added to my query "if it existed at all."
Well, maybe forest is misleading, but that's the term used by many
scholars and Thai monks writing in English, or translated, to refer to it.
It's common usage.
How about jungle?
