Well, the question was what term is used in the BG itself and that I 
answered.  I guess you are all getting a bit excited over the elections 
tomorrow and attention is slipping from more important matters ...

No, they are not translations, but commentaries in Sanskrit.  I personally 
avoid translations as far as possible because they are often misleading  --  
this perhaps being a case in hand.  If I am going to be misled, I would 
rather be misled by myself than somebody else.  Funnily enough, I was once 
misled by "misled" when I was a small child back in the dark ages -- there 
was an advertisement for Camp Coffee (a nauseous liquid coffee extract) 
which exorted us not to be "misled by imitations".  I wondered for ages what 
being "mizzled" involved.  I believe most learners of English fall into the 
same trap, hee, hee !

But, talking of commentaries, I have spotted this forthcoming book that 
might interest two or three people (at most) here:

"Scholastic Sanskrit: A Handbook for Students",  G. A. Tubb, American 
Institute of Buddhist Studies. pp275.   It's supposed to be out on the 9th 
of this month -- and it's cheap:  £22.32 according to Amazon UK.
