[Buddha-l] Dawkins: The God Delusion

Was it Sri Aurobindo who upbraided a contemptuous hell and brimstone
missionary, asking what Jesus would do for him and his community when
surely he had done so little for the missionary?

Being self responsible and deluded is more to my liking (and
consistent with my personal experience) than being punished or graced
by a fickle father. I worry and wonder about metaphysical speculation
that leads to more or less exposure to the paranoia that answers the
big questions/anxiety when wisdom and compassion don't have a
fighting chance. Which, unfortunately, is also my almost daily and
personal experience.
