[Buddha-l] African religions & Buddhism's future (was Dying Forest)

Hasn't the torch been passed to the "west"? It's also doing quite well in 
Taiwan, China, and Australia ( in case one doesn't think of Australia as 
"the west" which culturally it is, mostly.
