Thanks Jion for the information on this work.
In addition, may I urge all to please stop spelling the word canon as
cannon? :)
Thanks,
Joanna
===========================================
Dear Joanna and All,
The Rishukyo is an esoteric work translated by Amoghavajra depicting the
prajrna-paramita perfected truth as preached by Vairocana Buddha on behalf
of his disciple, Vajrasattva. It can be referenced in the Taisho Cannon
(vol 8, no. 243). The work discusses the transformation of profane passions
such as lust, greed, envy and craving in an esoteric fashion. Japanese
Buddhism discusses this topic in a notion called, bonna soku bodai, "the
passions themselves (are/lead to) enlightenment," a notion pregnant with
intense meaning and transformative power if it is practiced properly.
Gassho,
Jion

I'm not familiar with this sutra-------how does it relate to the discussion
topic?

Greetings All,
This might be throwing a bit of oil on the fire, but are you familiar with
the Rishukyo Sutra (Japanese), an abbreviation of the
Adhyarthaśatikā-prajñāpāramitā-sūtra, Prajñāpāramitā-naya-sūtra?
Gassho,
Jion
