Franz, careful which ghosts, goblins and otherwise certifiable spirits you
conjure up out of the apeiron (or asat, if you prefer).

As to the ongoing thread(s):

It's always amusing to watch the earnestness with which self-declared
nondualists meticulously and passionately divide the rest of us into
nondualists and nonnondualists. Or insufficient nondualists. Very dualistic.

A practitioner of medieval Islamic or Jewish "science" (Maimonides, e.g.,
was an MD, an actual scientist, not someone who played one on a e-list - the
British Library is filled with Arabic and Judeo-Arabic and Hebrew scientific
manuscripts, not all of which have even been catalogued yet) would have no
trouble at all subscribing to Richard's previously posted list of creedal
dogma to which all "legitimate" scientists are supposed to swear allegiance
(remember what started all this silliness before it veered off into
pro-anti-guru gossip?). As a minor but significant historical note -- it was
the infusion of Islamic and Judaic science into Europe that sparked the
Renaissance whose scientism Richard is now so eager to celebrate.

Us certifiable yaksas and nagas will now disperse. Carry on.

Dan Lusthaus
