I think that this method is intuitively attractive - but it fails when
put into practice, and the reasons why are pretty easy to see when you
look at it more closely. Basically you are projecting an idea of how you
think you would like to be onto someone else. The problem is that if you
really had a clear of idea of how you would like to be, then you could
simply start being more like that. Its more important to examine our
internal "models" than it is to try to find someone who fits them. And
unexamined model is not worth fitting.
