X-posted. Excellent short video of an important Jain ceremony at Sravana 
Belgola
in India. I'm posting this because the Jainas were moving about and 
preaching in
the same period and locations as the Buddha.
One wonders if such ceremonies might also have happened in early centuries 
CE with
the Buddha image.
