==================================
Dear Members and Friends,
A note to alert you to the article on page 24 of this weekend's New York Times Arts & Leisure section (dated August 7) by Kay Larson. The column "A Close Reading" explores a painting of Tara now on view in the exhibition Female Buddhas: Women of Enlightenment in Himalayan Art at the Rubin Museum of Art. Read the story of the Buddha who chose to be a woman, and then come to the Museum to enjoy the real thing.
We hope you are having a wonderful summer and look forward to welcoming you again to RMA sometime soon. Your support means a lot to all of us.
With best wishes
Caron Smith
Deputy Director and Chief Curator
Rubin Museum of Art
